Directions

BY CAR
From the EAST, via PA Turnpike (I-76):

• Take I-76 Exit 6 to I-376 West, then Exit 7A, Oakland.
• Turn right at the stop sign onto Bates Street.
• Follow Bates until it dead-ends at Bouquet Street.
• Turn left onto Bouquet and follow Bouquet to traffic light at Forbes Avenue.
• Turn right onto Forbes Avenue and follow Forbes to Bigelow Blvd.
• Turn left onto Bigelow; follow Bigelow as it turns right.
• Turn right onto Tennyson Avenue.
• Alumni Hall is on your right where Tennyson intersects with Fifth Avenue. Our classrooms are located on the fifth floor.

From the WEST, via the PA Turnpike (I-76)

• Take I-76 Exit 3 and follow I-79 south to I-279 south (you exit to the left off I-79).
• Follow I-279 into the city to I-376 (Monroeville exit)
• Follow I-376 to the Forbes Avenue/Oakland exit.
• Follow Forbes Avenue for less than a mile, and through several traffic lights to Bigelow Blvd.
• Turn left onto Bigelow; follow Bigelow as it turns right
• Turn right onto Lytton Avenue. Alumni Hall (and the Holiday Inn Select Hotel) is on your left where Lytton intersects with Fifth Avenue.

From the NORTH

• Take I-79 south to I-279 (you exit to the left off I-79).
• Follow I-279 into the city to I-376 (Monroeville exit), and follow I-376 to the Forbes Avenue/Oakland exit.
• Follow Forbes Avenue for less than a mile, and through several traffic lights to Bigelow Blvd.
• Turn left onto Bigelow; follow Bigelow as it turns right, then turn right onto Lytton Avenue.
• Alumni Hall (and the Holiday Inn Select Hotel) is on your left where Lytton intersects with Fifth Avenue.

From the SOUTH

• Take I-79 north, then I-279 north through the Fort Pitt tunnel and across the bridge to the I-376 (Monroeville exit) off to the right.
• Follow I-376 to the Forbes Avenue/Oakland exit.
• Follow Forbes Avenue for less than a mile, and through several traffic lights to Bigelow Blvd.
• Turn left onto Bigelow; Bigelow as it turns right.
• Turn right onto Lytton Avenue.
• Alumni Hall (and the Holiday Inn Select Hotel) is on your left where Lytton intersects with Fifth Avenue.

BY AIR
The Airport is approximately 25 miles northwest of Pittsburgh. If driving from the airport:

• Take Route 60 East to I-279 North
• Stay in the right lane through the Fort Pitt tunnel to I-376
• Follow I-376 to the Forbes Avenue/Oakland exit (less than 1 mile)
• Continue through several traffic lights to Bigelow Blvd.
• Turn left onto Bigelow.
• Follow Bigelow as it turns right.
• Turn right onto Lytton Avenue. Alumni Hall and the Holiday Inn Select Hotel are on your left where Lytton intersects with Fifth Avenue.

If you are traveling by air, please contact us at DNARepair@upmc.com to arrange for transport from the airport. We rented a 12-person van for the entire weekend and will have regular trips to and from the airport, as needed, at no cost. If you prefer, taxi service from the Airport to Oakland costs approximately $40.
